Deepest crimson with purple hues.
Primary fruit aromas of blackberries and plums are complemented by subtle cinnamon and black pepper spices.
The primary fruit flavours of plums and red berries provide vibrancy and flesh to the wine, and are well supported by seasoned French oak. The tannins are soft, round and persistent, creating complexity as well as adding freshness and balance.
This wine is ready for drinking now, but will find further complexity over the next 2–3 years.
The 2020 vintage was characterised by a cool, dry and long growing season, resulting in wines with elegance and beauty, ripeness of tannin and great depth of flavour.
Shiraz and Malbec parcels were crushed to static fermenters. Pumpovers and delestage (drain and return) were used to extract fine tannin and colour. After 12–14 days, where fruit flavour and tannin extraction were optimized, the separate fermentations were pressed to complete primary fermentation in tanks. The wines were then racked into French oak barrels for 12–15 months of maturation, before blending.

A shiraz, malbec and tempranillo combination. Heaps of energetic lively fruit with firm supporting tannins. Great for pasta dishes with red meat sauce.
Shiraz et al always delievers, vintage after vintage. The moment i crack the cap I get hit with smells of spice and ripe plums, which transports me back to Christmas evening, spent enjoying Grandma's plum pudding.
