The Fogarty Family

After many trips to some of the best wine regions in Australia and Europe, Peter Fogarty’s long-held passion for wine led him to start his own vineyard. And so the Fogarty Wine Group story began in 1996, when Peter and his wife Lee and their three teenage children, John, Mark and Anna, planted the first vines at the family property, Chestnut Farm, in the Perth Hills – a true labour of love. Several years later Millbrook Winery was established on the site with the construction of a stunning winery, tasting room and award-winning restaurant.

“A focus on quality and innovation, from vineyard site selection and management to finished wines, is at the forefront of our approach to our individual and collective wine brands.”

The Essence of Fine Wines

Twenty-five years on, the Fogarty family has created a stunning portfolio comprising wine brands from six different regions of Australia: Dalwhinnie in the Pyrenees, Victoria; Lake’s Folly in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales; Deep Woods Estate and Evans & Tate in Margaret River, Millbrook Winery in the Perth Hills and Smithbrook in Pemberton, Western Australia; and Lowestoft, Thalia, Strelley Farm Estate, Sandy Bay Estate and Tasmanian Vintners in Tasmania. The key focus has been the selection of terroir so that distinctive, world-class wines are produced.
