Alternatively, we do also have the 2016 Reserve Block 7 Shiraz and 2017 Reserve Chardonnay available for online purchase. This sumptuous Shiraz is a gold medal-winner and the Chardonnay scooped two trophies at the Royal Adelaide Wine Show 2018, including 'Most Outstanding White Wine'. It also collected 98 points from Decanter Magazine, who described it as "a fabulous wine with great potential".

Deepest crimson with vivid purple hues.


Lift and intensity are shown through rich cassis and blueberry. Overtones of anise and graphite add complexity.


Fully ripe tannin frames a powerful and majestic palate of varietal flavours including blackberry, blood plum and cassis. Delicately interwoven French oak characteristics add savoury complexity.


This complex, detailed wine will reward careful cellaring for ten or more years.

Representing the most important red wine made at Deep Woods Estate in any given vintage, the 2016 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted from the very low-yielding original vines on the estate in the Yallingup region of Margaret River, along with fruit from a single grower also in the Yallingup Hills.

The 2016 harvest in Margaret River marked the ninth consecutive year of excellent vintages for the region. February rain, after a dry, warm January reinvigorated vines and canopies alike.


Representing the pinnacle of Deep Woods’ house-style, this Cabernet Sauvignon was crafted from the ultra-low yielding, original vines on the estate coupled with fruit from another mature vinyeard, also in the Yallingup Hills in Margaret River.

Throughout fermentation each batch was pumped over between four to two times daily depending on the stage of fermnetation to gently extract colour, flavour and tannin. The wine was gently passed directly to a combination of new and seasoned French barriques where it matured in oak for approximately 18 months.

Matured for 18 months in new and used French oak. Excellent colour; the wine has a fragrant dark berry bouquet, the palate sheer perfection. So well balanced it seems suspended in the air, cassis fruit supported by feather-light tannins, oak an absorbed spectator. This is a beautiful wine.

Another outstanding cabernet from Deep Woods confirming its standing among the best in the region. The intensity and concentration of the fruit from this northern Margaret River area is impressive. Crammed with blackcurrant and dark chocolate supported by firm tannins and quality oak. There's power here, but its delivered with finesse and refinement right through to its exceptionally long finish.

Black fruit, peppermint, camphor in a cedar chest, strong hit of star anise, creamy oak in support. Medium-bodied, fleshy and dense in tannin, good concentration, dark chocolate and mint, even acidity, tobacco and black olive coming through on the long rich finish. Love the tannin and structure, less enthusiastic about how it smells, but that often comes with the territory.
