vintage
The 2018 growing season offered good rainfall and long and sunny autumn providing ideal conditions for fruit flavours to develop slowly but fully.
winemaking
All fruit was hand-picked at optimal ripeness delivering varietal flavour and bright natural acidity. Each vineyard parcel was gently whole-berry pressed and sequentially added into French oak barrels, where it was fermented using indigenous yeasts. This breadth of individual components and further maturation on yeast lees for nine months prior to bottling has created a wine with compelling texture and complexity.

Reviews
halliday wine companion 2020
Hand-picked, each vineyard parcel whole-berry pressed, sequentially filled into French oak and wild-fermented. The breadth of the individual components, and further maturation on lees for 9 months, has made a fine and elegant wine. It is incredibly youthful now, but with years to go to reach its best.
