Technical
Vintage
We had a mild spring with adequate soil moisture, resulting in a slightly later season. A moderate summer led to ideal ripening conditions with little pressure in the vineyard and a lack of any major rain events during the ripening season. Consistently warm days and cool evenings made for great retention of acid within the grapes, whilst achieving optimal fruit expression.
Winemaking
Fruit was gently pressed with only the highest quality juice used to create the final blend. The juice was then settled for a few days at 10â°C before being racked off, inoculated and fermented at an even rate to maximise fruit expression. When dry, most batches were clarified to remove the yeast lees before being chilled and stabilised. This wine was filtered once prior to an early bottling.Â
