Why You'll Love This Wine
The term Broadway comes from the name our winemakers give to the popular stretch of Caves Road along which our Chardonnay vineyards are dotted. These strategically located vineyard locations capture the array of northern, southern and central Margaret River Chardonnay flavours and characters. This way the Broadway Chardonnay truly captures the essence of this exceptional variety in Margaret River.
Flavours of rockmelon, pear and citrus drive the palate with layers of complexity providing the thumb print of the Evans & Tate house style. Extended maturation in barrel has also contributed malt flavours, textural complexity and beautiful integration.

vintage
2022 was a truly exceptional vintage in Margaret River. The season started beautifully with a wet spring and late flowering, followed by a warm and dry season, producing refined flavour, great elegance and real personality.
winemaking
The fruit was handpicked and whole bunch pressed, with no pressings juice used in the blend. This gentle handling is critical to produce our unique Chardonnay style. The wine underwent wild fermentation in 20% new French oak barriques and puncheons. 15% of the wine underwent malolactic fermentation to achieve balance and texture. All batches remained on yeast lees for 14 months with regular stirring. Select barrels were then blended and the final blend was filtered once prior to bottling and maturation.
