vintage
2022 was a truly exceptional vintage in Margaret River. The season started beautifully with a wet spring and late flowering, followed by a warm and dry season, producing refined flavour, great elegance and real personality. A very sophisticated vintage for this wine.
winemaking
This wine is produced solely from Margaret River fruit and made to sit alongside the very best wines from the Deep Woods stable. The aim was to make a contemporary style of Rosé; nuanced and delicate, yet still full-flavoured.
The Tempranillo and (for the first time) Sangiovese make up the core of the wine, both largely grown in the Yallingup Hills and some of which was oxidative handled. Slow and carefully managed ferments allowed for a Rosé of great character, delicacy and complexity.

Reviews
Halliday Wine Companion 2024
A copper blush followed by a bouquet of red roses, herbs and summer berries. Tastes of those fruits plus toffee apple with some charry radicchio. It has texture, depth and pizzazz, slipping down easily with a lively fresh finish.

A floral nose of lily, rose, sliced strawberries and white peaches. Medium-bodied. Fresh and crisp on the palate with a mineral finish. A refreshing rosé. Drink now.
