Why you'll love this wine

The Single Vineyard range is designed to highlight the unique characteristics of some of the most exceptional vineyard sites from across Western Australia. The fruit for this wine is sourced from the Talisman Vineyard in Ferguson Valley, Geographe and showcases the powerful fruit and bright acidity that are hallmarks of this stunning wine region in the southwest.

This Chardonnay is crafted in a modern, refined style to bring the purity of fruit from this special vineyard site to the fore. Time in oak and maturation on lees brings a rich texture and warm caramel notes, alongside the delicious stonefruit and apple characters.

Technical

winemaking

Western Australian wine regions experienced a record early harvest, brought on by a particularly dry and warm conditions. Paying close attention in the vineyard was crucial in order to capture the optimal ripeness window whilst maintaining freshness and vibrancy in the picked fruit.

Fruit was sourced from the Talisman Vineyard in Geographe. The hand-picked grapes were whole bunch pressed, without settling, and directly filled to French barriques, 30% of which were new and 70% of which were one and two year old. The wine underwent wild fermentation and post fermentation were regularly tasted and topped. After 8 months on lees, the barrels were individually tasted to determine the final blend, which was then lightly fined before bottling.
