The palate is juicy and vibrant, with generous fruit and a long silky texture. Firm tannins, characteristic of this variety, are balanced against fruit weight. This wine will be a fantastic accompaniment to many styles of cuisine.
With 18 months in oak, this wine is certainly approachable in its youth with cellaring potential of up to 8 years in the right conditions
Abundant winter rainfall leading into the 18 vintage filled dams and promoted vine canopy growth. A cool spring resulted in slower maturity but promoted fruit flavours in both whites and reds. Occasional rainfall during the harvest period provided some challenges. However, a dedicated viticultural team helped procure clean fruit despite disease pressure. Reds benefited greatly from a warm and dry Autumn and have resulted in some of our ripest reds for some years.
