Bright fresh purple.

The wine displays the varietal characteristics of red fruit with an underlying hint of cherry pip.

Dry, soft, juicy tannins which are ripe and well structured. The cherry fruit is sumptuous and lingers on the palate and is aptly supported by the subtle dry tannins. The wine is medium-bodied and has very pronounced varietal fruit flavour that has a long finish.

Enjoy now or cellar for 3–5 years.

The 2015 growing season in the Geographe region was early due to warm, dry conditions. The Sangiovese comes from two vineyards on the flats of the valley outside Harvey where the soils are sandier and less fertile. This medium-bodied wine displays savoury, red berry and earthy characters.

The fruit came into the winery at 14.0 Baume and was destemmed before being fermented/macerated on skins for nine days. The wine was then pressed off and racked into seasoned French oak puncheons for six months before bottling in June 2016.

Pasta al Forno with salami.

Halliday Wine Companion 2018

While varietal fruit and tannins are on parade from top to toe, it has a silky, medium-bodied mouthfeel that is (very pleasantly) left field. All the red berry/cherry fruits run through the length of the medium-bodied palate.

Ray Jordan - The Weekend West - February 2017

This has such a beautiful varietal character that captures the best of sangiovese.  It's savoury, with a dusty thread working through those beautiful cherry and light raspberry characters. The palate is medium weight with good firmish tannins and understated oak in support. The result is a perfectly formed food wine. Drink now to 2023.
