Bright, deep ruby red with purple hues.
The wine reveals a vibrant array of plum and blackcurrant, with underlying vanillin oak on the nose.
A full-bodied wine with blackcurrant and black cherry fruit characters and a succulent mid-palate. Excellent oak integration and ripe black fruits are finely balanced with firm tannins.

The 2009 summer in the Perth Hills was warm and dry with near perfect ripening conditions. Most of the fruit was sourced from the estate in Jarrahdale, vinified in open-top fermenters and plunged twice daily. The wine, aptly named Fogs Folly, is the first produced at Millbrook Winery using similar blend ratios as Lake’s Folly.
After settling, the batches were racked to oak for malolactic fermentation. The oak used was 60% new and 40% one-year-old French oak from the Sirugue and Boutes cooperages. After 22 months maturation the wine was minimally filtered and bottled in February 2011.
