We have just a few bottles remaining of the fabulous Millbrook 2012 Estate Shiraz Viognier, which collected, among many awards, the Trophy for Best Shiraz at the Perth Hills Wine Show in 2014. Now with five years of aging behind it, this is a mellow, supple expression of the Millbrook flagship style, yet still with vibrant blackberry and damson plum fruit, backed by fine tannins and a touch of star anise.
However, rather than mourn the end of the 2012 Estate Shiraz Viognier, we can celebrate the arrival of the 2014! It may have large boots to fill, but it does it with aplomb. We're so confident you will enjoy this smooth, intensely-rich new style, we have added a bottle to this collection, completely FREE.
A medium- to full-bodied wine with red and black berry fruit characters and a succulent mid-palate. Excellent oak integration and intense fruit are finely balanced with an elegant and persistent finish.
"Hand-picked, destemmed for cold soak on top of 5% whole bunch viognier, open-fermented, hand-plunged twice daily, matured in French oak (30% new) for 20 months. Vivid crimson-purple, medium-bodied, it is small wonder it won the trophy for Best Shiraz at the Perth Hills Wine Show ’14. Blackberry fruit is framed by abundant ripe tannins ex both oak and fruit. It deserves time, lots of it. 95 points."
