This gift pack of fine red wines will be the perfect gift for any wine collector. It features two limited-release styles that, although drinking well now, can be left to mature for many years to come.

Representing the most important red wine made at Deep Woods Estate in any given vintage, the 2015 Reserve wines are crafted from very low-yielding vines on the estate in the Yallingup region of Margaret River. Each parcel of fruit for these exceptional wines was afforded the utmost attention in the winery and matured in a combination of new and seasoned French barriques for incredible depth and complexity of flavour.

Presented in a stylish Deep Woods two bottle gift pack.

1 x 2015 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Vibrant, bright crimson in colour, with purple hues. On the nose, this wine has incredible lift and perfectly framed notes of rose hip and blueberries. This is coupled with an alluring scent of star anise, forest floor and brambles.

An elegant expression of a wine still definitively in the ‘Deep Woods Reserve’ house style.  A medium bodied wine that tastes of redcurrants and summer plums that has fine, elegant tannin and integrated oak. This wine may be enjoyed on release but will find further complexity over the next 5-10 years.

Winemaker's note

"A very special wine, the previous three have won the Royal Melbourne Wine Show Cabernet Trophy three years running, culminating with the 2014 vintage winning the Jimmy Watson last year."

Julian Langworthy, Chief Winemaker

1 x 2015 Reserve Block 7 Shiraz

Vibrant purple in colour and loaded with primary fruit aromas of blueberries, blackberries and violets, the wine has an alluring charm with complex cedar, cinnamon and star anise notes adding intrigue.

The palate exhibits juicy red plum and blackberry flavours with underlying hints of savoury oak and warm spice. The palate is well supported by abundant but soft, fine-grained tannins and French oak which frames the fruit character. Will continue to improve over the next eight years.

Winemaker's note

"Margaret River makes great Shiraz, but it truly shines in certain spots, such as Block 7 on the Deep Woods vineyard. Partial whole-bunch ferment lends savoury nuance to a wine with layers of dark fruit and warm spice."

Julian Langworthy, Chief Winemaker
