Technical
vintage
The 2022 vintage was preceded by a very wet winter leading to good, healthy vine growth. Intense heat and dry months over the summer led to decreased yields however the dry, sunny days provided a natural barrier to disease, and extensive marri blossom kept bird pressure at bay. Some bunches suffered from sunburn, however the challenges in the vineyard were minimal. Although yield was lower than average, the quality of fruit has resulted in outstanding wines with vibrant natural acidity, perfect for making fresh Rosé wine.
winemaking
A modern style, salmon pink rose was created in the winery, with specifically chosen fruit batches that were handled with temperature controlled, low oxygen winemaking techniques. This ensured a fine, light-bodied wine was produced for early blending and bottling to capture to prime rose drinking window of summertime at the beach or in the backyard.
