Tasting Notes

colour

Translucent straw with a brilliant lime green hue.

aroma

An expressive and vibrant nose with exuberant lemon drops, pea shoots and passionfruit pulp.

palate

Intense, juicy lemon pith bursts onto the palate alongside fresh green herbs. A crunchy acidity provides balance and freshness, highlighting the grassy, tropical and citrus flavours on the finish.

cellaring

Best enjoyed within two years to capture the freshness and vibrancy of the wine.

Technical

winemaking

Semillon was sourced from the northern part of Margaret River where it achieved full ripeness imparting richness to the wine. Sauvignon Blanc was sourced from the southern-most part of the region where the most vibrant fruit is found, lending a linear acidity to the blend. Winemaking techniques enhanced fruit purity through the use of neutral stainless steel tanks and an aromatic yeast strain for fermentation.

Reviews

James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion 2023

The intensity of the fruit in this blend, a totem pole of the type, underlines the sheer quality of the fruit that comes from the southern part of the Margaret River. Citrus, passionfruit and minerally acidity take no prisoners in the mouth or aftertaste.

The West Australian Wine Guide 2023

Shy at first but after a few minutes pretty lemon myrtle and mandarin peel aromas start to show. Complexity comes in the form of a waxy lanolin edge typical of the semillon-dominant style. Essentially a full-flavoured, fresh style with some pleasant grip and texture for added appeal. Exceptional value. Made for early drinking. Enjoy now and for the next 3 years. Top Rated.

Ray Jordan Wine Guide 2023

This bright as a button blended white captures all you want in a value for money quaffer. Has that merging of citrus and passionfruit creating a crunchy lively mouth feel. Excellent length and palate persistence for such a budget priced wine. Always hits the mark.

Stuart Knox, The Real Review

Pale lemon core to a water-white rim. Lemon zest, thyme and sea spray aromatics. Light and fresh with a good core of intense lemon and lime fruit. Hints of green shoots adds some depth, and the palate carries reasonable length. Value!

Benchmark

Medium bodied, extremely fragrant, pale straw colour. Excellent. Would be better if it came in a bigger bottle.
