2020 was a lovely vintage in Margaret River. After a warm start, the season was largely mild interspersed with some growing season rainfall. This allowed slow, measured flavour development and balanced natural acidity in most varietals. Vibrancy and good levels of concentrated fruit character are the hallmarks of the season.
This wine is a delicate blend of estate-grown and select, southern Margaret River growers’ fruit. A small percentage of barrel fermentation and judicious lees stirring both enhanced the wine’s textural qualities and complexity in the mouth.
