Very pale and brilliant with a bright green tint.
Bright and lifted Sauvignon Blanc characters of fig, passionfruit, cut grass and a touch of wild herbs fill the nose.
An intensely flavoured palate with juicy acidity. Passionfruit, fig and melon drive the palate which is vibrant, refreshing and long.
Peak drinking within two years.
Another fortunate vintage for the Margaret River Region, especially when compared to what some other regions in parts of Australia had to endure. A very early start and finish to the vintage due to a dry and warm spring which warmed the soil and promoted early and healthy vine growth. The white harvest was over quick with temperatures in early March then moderating, which slowed ripening in the reds, allowing flavour to intensify and tannins to soften.
Produced from vineyards across the region, our Sauvignon Blanc is unique in that it captures the array of fruit characters from Margaret River. All the fruit was picked in the cool of the night to retain freshness and aromatic intensity. Following gentle pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation, the wine was blended and filtered only once. This minimal handling has helped retain the attractive primary fruit flavours and aroma so critical to our style.
