Clear, bright, golden-straw.
An expressive perfume of baked apples, ripe stone fruit and almond cream with light vanilla and spice notes.
The palate displays vibrant citrus, hazelnut and ripe white nectarine with hints of flint. The soft, creamy mouthfeel and polished acidity combine to create a delicate, textured and balanced wine of high appeal.
Optimum drinking within five to seven years from vintage.
The 2018 growing season offered good rainfall and long and sunny autumn providing ideal conditions for fruit flavours to develop slowly but fully.
All fruit was handpicked at optimal ripeness delivering varietal flavour and bright natural acidity. Each vineyard parcel was gently whole-berry pressed and sequentially added into French oak barrels, where it was fermented using indigenous yeasts. This breadth of individual components and further maturation on yeast lees for nine
months prior to bottling has created a wine with compelling texture and complexity.
