Vibrant pale straw.
The wine displays floral notes, with apricot and grapefruit.
A hedonistic richness of palate true to this variety is supported by flavours of marmalade and marzipan with a lingering finish. A medium-bodied wine that has the intensity and generosity expected from this truly flavoursome variety.
Best drunk over the next three years.

The 2018 vintage was excellent in the Perth Hills. Rain at the very beginning of January was perfectly timed to recoup canopies and reinvigorate the vines. Mild, moderate temperatures throughout the remainder of the growing season yielded beautiful clean fruit, rich in varietal flavour and with pristine natural acidity.
Millbrook Regional Viognier is always made to a dry, modern style with savoury notes complemented by bright and generous fruit. Individual parcels of fruit were hand-picked in the cool of the night and were pressed directly to tank. Cold settled and hard racked to retain textural grape solids, the wine was then left on lees for three months to build texture and depth before being lightly fined and filtered prior to bottling.

Viognier
Crispy pork belly with apple sauce.
This estate has established a sterling reputation for viognier. Among the country's very finest. Even at this, the entry level, the exuberant aromatics are spellbinding: honeysuckle, apricot syrup and ginger spice. The viscosity, apt. Nothing too skinny. The oaky edge works well.
93A very rich, fleshy and well realised viognier that has abundant apricots in a fresh and smoothly ripe mode.
