The 2017 vintage certainly provided some challenges to the viticultural team. An atypically cold and wet February meant that careful canopy and crop management was required to ensure the fruit quality was retained.
A once in a lifetime downpour in February devastated a large number of vineyards in Western Australia. Luckily, Millbrook sits some 200m above sea level and the vineyards are planted on steep, rocky slopes. This meant that the rainwater drained into the nearby Gooralong Brook after filling the dam on the property.
