The 2017 vintage certainly provided some challenges to the viticultural team. An atypically cold and wet February meant that careful canopy and crop management was required to ensure the fruit quality was retained.
The fruit for this wine was sourced from a single vineyard in the Geographe region of Western Australia. While the variety originally hails from the North-West of Italy, the Geographe region is fast becoming known for producing premium quality Vermentino.
Steamed clams, lemongrass, and chilli.
Almost water-white, light green hues. Green apple and waxy citrus skin aromas. Green apple and grilled citrus in a pithy textured package. It's delicate, light, linear and refreshing, but a touch under-fruited.90
