vintage

Ebony is a classic Australian blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz that best reflects its origin – Margaret River. The 2016 vintage was excellent. The wine is produced with early drinking in mind and exhibits fleshy tannins with great fruit intensity.

winemaking

A blend of estate-grown and premium growers’ fruit was used to produce the 2016 Ebony. A range of winemaking techniques was utilised, including open-top fermentation and pre-soaking.

...when you can get wines like this for less than $20 you are on a winner. This gives the traditional Rhône blend a little tweak using malbec instead of mourvèdre. Generous and fruity with loads of toasty chocolate influences. A little sprinkle of spices adds a finishing lift.

This cracking blend always hits the mark and this is right up there again. The combo of Cabernet and Shiraz works so well and this one shows beautiful sweet ripe fruit of medium to full body. A little dab of oak to complete.

Consistent value-for-money red made from the classic Aussie mix of Cabernet and Shiraz. It's medium bodied with good fruit intensity and structure. Dusty, lightly applied oak and fine sinewy tannins add support. Can't go wrong with this little number.

A generous juicy jubey blend with a good Cabernet framework, soft tannins and ironstone minerality.
