Bright crimson with vibrant purple hues.
The wine exhibits ripe red fruits and salted licorice aromas. High notes of bay leaf and violet add further complexity and frame this wine’s minerality.
The palate unfolds in a myriad of layers of red fruit with dark chocolate nuances further enhanced by subtle sweet oak characters. The long and flavoursome finish is well supported by powder-fine juicy tannins.
This finely structured Margaret River wine will continue to improve over the next 5–7 years.
"This is one of the best wines that Deep Woods Estate makes and the one that I cellar for special occasions - and also drink it on a Tuesday with pizza."

This wine has been crafted utilising fruit sourced from three separate blocks on the Yallingup Hills estate: Blocks 3 and 4, two premium blocks of 25-year-old Cabernet Sauvignon vines and Block 5 Merlot; the latter block being planted in 1987. A small amount of Cabernet and Petit Verdot from the neighbouring property of Abbey Vale, also in the heart of the Yallingup sub-region, features in the 2015 blend.
All of the constituent vineyard parcels were fermented separately, using a variety of techniques. The individual parcels were matured for 18 months in 30% new and 70% seasoned French oak barriques. From these parcels we have strived to blend a wine that has great depth and intensity of fruit and speaks strongly of the premium Cabernet program at Deep Woods Estate.

An immaculately bred and raised wine, transparently displaying its cassis and bay leaf fruit, its quality French oak and its superfine tannins on its medium-bodied palate. Balanced and can be enjoyed now. To 2025.95
A very pretty and precise blend displaying vibrant energised fruit character. There's perfumed notes of red fruits and violets with a trace of fruit cake richness. The palate is beautifully fruit driven with the neat infusion of oak worked perfectly. Cellar: 6 years.95
