The wine reveals a vibrant array of plum and blackcurrant, with underlying vanillin oak on the nose
A full-bodied wine with blue and blackberry and sweet spice fruit characters and a succulent mid-palate. Excellent oak integration and juicy black fruit are finely balanced with elegant, ripe tannins.

The 2012 summer in Western Australia was warm and dry with near perfect ripening conditions. The Shiraz was sourced from the Margaret River region of WA, vinified in open-top fermenters and plunged twice daily for two weeks then gently pressed. After settling the wine was racked to oak for malolactic fermentation. The oak used was 40% new and 60% one-year-old French oak from the Le Grande and Francois Freres cooperages. After 20 months maturation the wine was minimally filtered and bottled in December 2012.
