Intense gold appearing bright and vibrant.


A rich and powerful bouquet with layers of complexity. The pungent aroma is defined by lifted dried fruits; apricot, banana and quince with underlying butterscotch, rum raisin and the floral influence of rose and frangipani. Intriguing and inviting.


Full-bodied and richly flavoured. A textural yet restrained sweet wine that is carefully balanced with acidity for perfect balance. Candied lollies, toasted brioche with pear and lime tart influence the flavour profile, while the savoury mouthfeel has generous length and structure. Food match with sweets, fois gras, pate and perfect accompaniment to a cheese platter.


Will continue to improve for 5–8 years and potentially longer with careful storage.

The Yilgarn represents the highest quality wines that are produced from the estate vineyard in Pemberton. This Botrytis Semillon is only produced in years when the season is favourable. The damp and slightly humid April of 2011 provided the perfect conditions for this style to be produced.

This dessert style Semillon has been made with the influence of botrytis affected grape berries. Botrytis (also referred to as the Noble Rot) is a strain of fungus that grows on the berries when they have been left on the vine to ripen for an extended period. The fungus influences the wine style by imparting a unique savoury flavour, but it also concentrates the sugars and flavours by feeding off the water within the ripening grape berry. The resultant wine is often complex and intensely flavoured, with a high level of sweetness, making it ideal to consume with rich flavoured dessert style foods.
