SV (short for 'Single Vineyard') is an exciting new range for Millbrook Winery, designed to highlight the unique characteristics of only the most exceptional vineyards from across Western Australia. In addition to Chardonnay, the range features a Shiraz. Both are made in a modern, refined style to bring the purity of fruit from these amazing sites to the fore.
Pale straw with green hues.
Lifted aromas of grapefruit rind and lemon curd entwined with flint and yellow fruit.
Lime tart, lemon blossom and fresh pine are matched by tightly wound, edgy acidity. The wine is both complex and fresh, in the most modern way.
Enjoy now, or will cellar for up to five years from vintage.

The 2017 growing season in Western Australia was atypically late, allowing for optimum ripeness to be achieved in this Chardonnay while retaining fresh, vibrant, fruit flavours.

Chardonnay
Chicken breast in a delicate tarragon and Dijon mustard sauce.
Hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed, wild-fermented in French barriques (50% new), matured on lees for 6 months. A striking chardonnay with 8 g/l of acidity driving the palate at breakneck speed before it settles down, but the same theme continues with citrus allsorts (lemon, grapefruit and lime) that should by rights make you think of Sauvignon Blanc or Riesling. But you don't, for the Chardonnay birthmark is burnt into the heart of the wine.

Impressive single-vineyard chardonnay showing good fruit sourcing and some clever winemaking to get the best from it. Toasty, charry notes on the nose with some flinty mineral characters. The palate is immediately complex, showing excellent structure and power. Pear and citrus with white peach plus a squeeze of tart lemon. An impressive chardonnay.
