Red fruit, cherry and plum with an underlying hint of blueberry, spice and violet.
The wine is medium-bodied with soft, silky tannin and has amazing varietal fruit characteristics. The cherry and blue fruit flavours are juicy, sumptuous and linger on the palate.
Drinking beautifully now and will continue to do so for the next five years.Download Tasting Notes
The 2017 growing season in the Geographe wine region was atypically late which allowed for gentle and even ripening of all varieties. The Tempranillo grapes were sourced from select vineyards in the Geographe region. These vineyards produce extremely flavoursome fruit with tannins that are both fleshy and ripe.
The fruit came into the winery at a perfect ripeness. It was de-stemmed before being fermented on skins for six days in open top fermenters. The wine was then pressed off and racked into seasoned French oak puncheons for four months.
Charred octopus, chorizo, and potato.
Mighty impressive take on this famous Spanish variety. Loads of dark plum and spicy cherry characters on the nose and palate. It's rich and generous with a healthy hit of dried herbs and spices. Savoury finish to the palate suits its food-friendly appeal.92
Shows attractive sweetmeat, blackberry pastille and candied citrus. Medium to full body, some nice acidity crunch and a fruity finish.90
The nose is fresh and pretty and smells of raspberries and blueberries with a soft sweet fruit palate and fine tannins.
